My Mom came out over 25 years ago, and she has been with the same partner, Maryann for over 20 years.
They're coming to visit us here in California this week, and because gay marriage was just made legal here, they're finally going to marry.
My sister asks "But will it last?" :)

They look pretty young to be making such a commitment, I must say.
I'll speak for David and his useless cell phone. YEAH! Even after 20 years this has to be exciting for them. I and we are happy for the nearly-weds soon to be newly weds.

Corrections: David's mother came out over 30 years ago and she and Mary Ann have been together for 25 years. Newly celebrated Aug 8. And as far as age goes David's mom is pretty young to be making such a commitment. She is only 70. But they have grandchildren together so they think they should make it all honest now. Now that California is honest.
