Well, it was posted April 9, by National Geographic. If I am fooled, shame on me, but I did a Google search and there were no indications this was a hoax.
I then did a search on "García-Ruiz crystal cave" and it turned up a lot of links, all of which seemed to indicate this is real.
You owe me a box of chocolates! :)
